As a young girl, Susan DeVita fell in love with music while dancing away the Brooklyn afternoons to Beatles records and Sousa marches. When a piano found its way into the house, her singing and composing skills blossomed. Her unique voice and songwriting talents earned her a production contract with legendary record producer Arif Mardin. Paul Atkinson of RCA Records subsequently signed her. After taking a heartfelt sabbatical to raise her sweet “Golden Boy” (son James), Susan has returned to recording and performing with refreshed passion and energy and a cache of exciting new material.
